Professional Opportunities and Potential Areas of Employment

Since the ongoing digital transformation of industries requires more and more high-level skills, the PhD program in “Industry 4.0” aims to train professionals who will work mainly in industrial research and development and technology transfer, but will also be able to be employed in academia.

Among the possible industrial sectors of outlet and in particular in the regional context, it it relevant to mention: aerospace, agribusiness, biomedical, consumer electronics, energy, IT, logistics and transport, mechanics and mechatronics, steel, textiles-clothing-footwear.

In addition to these areas, other professional outlets for Ph.D.s trained under this doctorate are in research and development activities for the service industry, as well as in systems, products, and services related to resource management.
